This question is for everyone. I'm so sick of hearing the name calling, the accusations and the slander. If you truly believe that our system is corrupt, how would you change it? Do you think that it can be changed? Or is America already too much of a police state to make a difference?

C-Span aired this in late June. You need to watch it, discuss it with others and share this with everyone you can.
I don't want to see any comments until 1,5 hrs from now. If you can't watch the the show, then your post is meaningless. Any negative posts need to be backed up please.
I know the truth is scary but we all need to wake up to it.
Watch the damn show!

I'm a conservative person who typically votes Republican. But I wish we had more than two key politcal parties. I also wish there were more restirctions on campaign financing. If I had it my way I would cut out all of the t.v. and radio ads, instead I would increase the number of debates. That's when you can get to know a candidate and the more the better. They should also allow more candidates at the debates, that way people would get to know them better. Our system of electing presidents needs a lot of changing in my opinion. However, despite what Barbara Streisand and the other libs say.... I am still glad to live in America.

There is always hope for change.. if change is the desired remedy. Some people just like to complain because it is easier to do so than to come up with a realistic plan or idea. Its easier to want others to give you what you want politically than to work hard and achieve it for your self. Which in a nut shell is the problem with modern America. People want and expect things to be easy or handed to them. Unfortunately democracy demands public involvement. Something most refuse to do.

Money has corrupted elected legislators. Influence peddling is legalized thru lobbyists that get legislation made into law. We don't need a change in gov't, but a change in campaign finance laws, the laws protecting this corrution. The govt should not allow anyone/pacs/corporations/etc, to donate money to elect someone.

What's wrong with America? Hmm. Compared to other countries, we have it pretty damn good. People should stop complaining unless, like you said, they are going to do something about it OTHER than complaining. I'm majoring in Political Science and Philosophy, and I'm truly sick of people hating on our national government when we receive so many more benefits than many other countries out there. Suck it up, or make a difference in your own way, whether it be through a program or a blog. Stop complaining. Education is the only way to make a difference, so educate yourself and do something about it.

To make a change one needs to get out and Vote. I get tired of people hollering and complaining. Then they say no I don't vote, why should I? It dosen't make a difference.
