According to what I learned in gym, it is actually volleyball. Every country competes, it's easy to learn and play, and all it requires is a net and a ball
It's the most played but soccer probably rivals it in popularity

soccer by about a billion multiplied by that same number. VOlleyball only represents associations, but you find a pick up game in every open space around the world(except usa, canada, and a select few)
