your brain is fried... you will be fried and shredded when that thing goes boom and your house may catch on fire...
but if you have to ask maybe you should wait and see...
seriously tho... it wouldn't implode... it would explode... and carve you up in the process...and most likely burn down your living space...

Heres the scoop:
A CRT monitor is vacuumed because any particles left in the tube would interfere with the electrons being fired at the front (The screen)... When you break a CRT, it implodes, BUT, the force with which it implodes can be tremendous, causing shards of glass to fly everywhere. Theres a good possibility that anybody within a 3 foot radius of an imploding CRT could take some pretty serious cuts...
The other concern with a cracked screen is this: The inside of the screen is covered with a lead mesh, much the way a microwave door is. A crack in the screen could compomise this mesh, leaving a hole in its protection and exposing you to dangerous amounts of electromagnetic radiation.
It would be wise of you to turn off the monitor and turn the screen against a wall. If the screen is cracked and hissing, it means the vacuum seal has been broken, and it will eventually let the pressure off on its own, making it harmless. But don't fiddle with it, get rid of it. CRT's can be very dangerous even after they are broken and the vacuum is released. They can hold a charge of 10-20 thousand volts from the electrons being fired at the screen.
Hope this helps,
X

it is no longer about regulations - it is about lives! the advice from protection specialists and the yank Academy of Pediatrics is to rearface (RF) to the bounds of the seat it really is 30-35lbs on all seats offered in the US. my personal daughter rode RF till she grow to be 2 years, 9 months and she were given very on the point of the 33 lb weight decrease on her Britax Marathons. I grew to grow to be her back RF at 3 years because she lost some weight. She complained the entire time she grow to be FF about having nowhere to placed her ft. She loves RF. I actually have blanketed numerous links with tremendous pictures and videos of what occurs to children’s necks even as they're FF in a crash. maximum each individual is in touch about their newborn's legs being scrunched or damaged in a crash. there is truly no info that shows a baby's legs are in threat and that i'd a lot somewhat manage a damaged leg, than a damaged neck.

If it is a CRT (i.e., NOT a flatscreen or otherwise LCD) then it won't be *imploding* it will be *exploding* (!!) because the tube (the "T" in "CRT") is under great pressure. It is surrounded by a wire cage so it shouldn't literally explode, but it could still be dangerous.

No. It will shoot confetti and a parade of hamsters playing drums will come from inside the monitor.
