Doncha love spoonerisms? There's two golfers that if you changed the lettering like that they would be ***** Nice and Pricky Died. (Nick Price and Dicky Pride)
Yep. Oughta be careful when naming your kids. Wouldn't want a Dusty Rick or a Richard(****) Head or even a Terra Pitts.
Sorry for the straightforwardness but it's absolutely true.
I had a buddy growing up and his name was Harry Ball. He had a sister Wanda and another sister Crystal. They took it hard.

People have to stop trying to be creative and think about your baby when they're in school, what would kids make fun of, also they have to think of their baby as a grownup trying to get a job, what kind of a name would look good on a resume, would a prospective employer look at a name like Porshe or Suri or Shiloh or Freaking Apple (for crying out loud) and say hmm there's a solid name, looks like they'll be a hard worker.

A lot of kids hate their name even if it's normal. But parents should be considerate of the human being that has to live with the name.
And it would be nice if people would choose names a poor little kid can spell.
I was 14 before I learned to spell Shaniquamoeshalashonda.

I think if kids want to they're going to make fun of them anyway no matter what the name. But parents really should give them the benefit of the doubt and be careful what they name their kids. I never understood why people these days name their kids a name that you can't differentiate between a girl and a boy, i.e. Taylor, Tyler, Madison. But it's not my name so to each his own.

you are so right..

people dont use their brains sometimes. i went to school with a mike zike. you can imagine.

when i started school, there were 4 of us with the same name. i swore that i would never do that to my kids.

i found the most original spellings of names that i could find.
i do have a dawna whom people mispronounce as dwana. other than that, i did pretty good.

but i was smart enough not to name my oldest katrina kaye, which would have made her initials kkk.
or amber, which her last name being kitchen would have set her up for teasing.
lacey being the same way.

people need to think about what other kids are going to tease their kids about. there are enough bullies and other problems going around without having a name that sets the kids up to be teased with.

How hilariously unfortunate! We should be ever vigilant when it comes to our children, especially in the realm of unfortunate names. If you have forgotten how to think like a fifth-grader, you must gain the assistance of a few preteens who can dissect potential names, and come up with every potential teasing aspect, then carefully select the one with the fewest jab openings. However, if your last name is already unfortunate, such as Plavac or Lackey, you have doomed your future offspring.....tough luck. :) hehe

Absolutely.

A name governs a person: can you imagine a kid called some of the names mentioned above ever becoming the President?

i mean, its like destining them to be a punk or a druggie, whereas call the kid John and he's got choices.

Some parents are cruel.

I think no matter what your name is, kids will find some way to play the chicken pecking chicken game.

If it's not names, it will be clothes, or eyes, or whatever.

They learn the "keep up with the Joneses" game early. Better to teach self-esteem than worry about the name, I think.

rofl. I know. People seriously act like they can't come up with a good name...It seems too hard for them to pick names that won't give their kids a run for their money later on..
