John and I have been best friends since freshman year four years ago. I chose to study abroad my junior year, but when I came back for my senior, everything was different. He had met a girl, and he spent a lot of time with her. I know that's normal, but he's taking it to the extreme. We used to hang out once a week, now it was once every month. Whenever we do hang out, if she calls or show up, it's like I'm not even there. I always tried to be happy for them, but it's hard, since I feel like I'm being ignored. At first, I gave it time, but it's been a year now. It like he had forgotten that we were friends once. Should I talk to him? How? I know it's risky; he may get defensive and say I'm jealous. She's a great girl, it's just his attitude towards our friendship like he doesn't care at all. I know people change, but we were real good friends once. If it was some other friend, I wouldn't care. But this friendship means a lot to me. I thought it meant a lot to him as well. Any advice?

i Think that you should talk to him. I know it will be hard, but its a good option. Ive lost a good friendship because of that too. i didnt say n e thing and i regret it all the time. Its better to know that he knows how u feel. Then to let him be oblivious because of his "love" with the gf. its like he is blinded by love almost. Hes not aware that u two may have grown apart. Let him know..nicely. Let him know that u want to be there for him always. Good luck!

u know what i had the same problem i still do but mine was with my brother and his girl he did the same thing . and then last night they had the biggest arguement they broke up and then all of a sudden they get back together i was so pissed becuz i know shes not used to our lifestyles and she is always throeing it in his face that he doesnt have any money and i swear last night i was about to get up and just bust the shi* out of her but i didnt fortunately . But he recognizes that he always does everything for her first then me and i remember him saying when they had barely had there first arguement he told me , I wpuld never choose a puss* over family but as u can see i guess he forgot and im just sitting here tolerating it like a dumas* dont make the same mistake im doing just talk to him and be cool about it if he doesnt understand then just leave alone for a while. ok i think that u should tell him that u feel left out or that you r being ignored and make a schedule so that you can see him twice a month and graduly get better
if this doesnt work stay away from him for a little bit.... get a girl for yourself and set up a double date or something...... then hang out with him more but let the relationship stil go on between them no matter what...............

GOOD LUCK
:-)

Dude Lighten up, Cause he will always be your friend, He has a new love in his life. Try double dating this way u can hang out with him and get to know her better. Try to tell how you feel but be careful how you word what your going to say. Say "john i wish we could hang out like we did before i went away. Good luck !!!!!

Well... Yes I think you should talk to him if you you feel this strongly of your friendship but if he thinks your just jealous then explain to him that you just miss hanging out with him and you feel you are being ignored by him.

first i would sit your friend down and talk to him about everything. Tell him how you are not mad that he has a girlfriend but you are mad that you are loosing a friendship that means alot to you. just be honest. I grantee you that he will then see what he is doing and you will be old pals again

i think you should talk to the girlfriend becuase sometimes they are jealous of their man having close girl friends get it straighten out with her and you both talk to him together so he does not get defensive because the girl he loves is on your side and discussing it with you
