Here are some tips from SEVENTEEN magazine.

Measure around your rib cage, directly under your bust. Add 5" to this number. Like, if you measure 29", your band size is 29" + 5" = 34".

Measure bust at its fullest point. Subtract the band size from this number to get your cup size (see chart). If you have a 35" bust and a 34" band, 35" - 34" = 1": an A cup (34A).

Bust Minus Band:
1 inch: A cup
2 inch: B Cup
3 inch: C Cup
4 inch: D Cup
5 inch DD cup
I guess 6 would be E.

Hope I helped!

Step 1: find band size
Measure around your rib cage, directly under your bust. Add 5" to this number. Like, if you measure 29", your band size is 29" + 5"
= 34".
Step 2: find cup size
Measure bust at its fullest point. Subtract the band size from this number to get your cup size (see chart). If you have a 35" bust and a 34" band, 35" - 34" = 1": an A cup (34A).
Your number from step one and two added together is your bra size.

The very best method to determine bra size, and, thus, purchase a well-fitted bra, is to go into a good department store's linberie section, and request to be measured. Filene's, Nordstrom's, Lord & Taylor's, or ANY Lingerie store should be able to assist. Your ob/gyn may be able to advise, as can any plastic surgeon, of course. This is the basis for your entire "LOOK" = the correct bra. Good for you! You're making an excellent decision, which will enhance the quality of your life, and that of your appearance, for years to come. Be well.

The best thing to do is GO to a bra fitter. You can call around to large department stores (JC Pennys or Nordstroms) that usually have people there that do it for free. I wore the wrong bra size for years until I finally went to get fitted, and she got it in no time. No more money wasted on bras that don't fit.

Go to a specialty lingerie shop. There should be someone in there who is knowledgeable who can size you. Avoid the XXX shops that sell lingerie on the side, go to a place that is like Victoria Secrete, but not an actual victoria secrete, because they are a chain they tend to have less knowledgeable sales people. I have a place I go and I just let the girl there pick stuff out that she knows will fit and pick what I want from what she brings me.

Using a tape measure, measure underneath the breast. That will give you the size as far as 36", etc. Then measure across the middle of the breast size and tell the salesperson that measurement. That is how they determine b, c, cup etc.
