forget the other answers thats just dribble......1.create a need and a want for the item.this is easily done by dropping its name into everday conversationseg "i saw fred using his{whatever] the other day2.create a shortage of the product.....let it be known there are back orders and you do not know what to doabout supply. Most important DO NOT LIE or else it will come back to bite you on the backside.

That's difficult, unless you cheat the buyer, e.g. by providing him misinformation which I don't recommended. You could also bundle the product with something he wants, or you can "package" the product to make it look attractive or shine up the product in other ways. Lastly, you can lower the price.

You could also sell the franchise, and fire the engineer who developed the crappy product.

Do as auctioneers do at farm sales. If nobody wants it, put it with something they do want and sell it all together?

I have carried lots of stuff home from auctions and had to put it in the trash just because there was something I did want in the package.
