i think you have to get scouted to get an audition

A good place to start is with local communtiy theaters for experience to put on a resume, then take a few good snapshots (1 head shot and and one body shot) and send them to agencys in the biggest city near you along with the resume youve built up.
You may want to call ahead to see if the agent accepts open submissions or even if they have open calls.
Just make sure you dont get scammed...The agency works for you and casting directors not the other way around.
Legit agents get paid when they find actors for parts, not when you take a class or get photos done.
