What are the symptoms....and what do they mean when they say "Irregular Periods"??????

Periods that are not your usual, that do not come at the same time interval, that last longer or shorter than your usual.
You can get hotflashes, and all the other symptoms of menopause.
Usually you can just get some mild hot flashes, and irregular periods.
If you want to confirm, get some hormone tests done by your OBGYN, they can tell you for sure what phase you are in.

The average age of a woman in America entering menopause is 51.
Menopause is that exact moment in time at which your ovary releases it's last egg. The ten or so years before that moment are perimenopause...there are something like 34 symptoms with hot flashes, night sweats forgetfulness, mood swings, and possibly erratic periods being some of the Most charming(although they all suck) A simple blood test can tell your doctor where you are in the sheme of things..IF your doctor says there is no such thing ..FIND another doctor... because the one you have is a JERK! But, hey that is just me...
BTW: irregular is anything other than whatever is regular for you. Some women flow heavier some lighter, some miss a month every now and then..You CAN get pregnant so do not let it fool you..sperm and eggs equals babies no matter what the age of the donors...

symptoms: irritability, body heat or hot flashes, food craving, headaches. Irregular periods mean discharges a week after your regular period, which lasts 2-3 days... then stops.. then comes back for about a week...

Irregular periods do not follow the approx. 28 day cycle.
Perimenopause can start at 35 or so.
