Lets say I'm at a party and my new Old Navy flip flop breaks. Like the front part comes out of the hole and it tears so even if you stick it back in the hole it won't stay. Is there a quickfix for this or do I have to walk home barefoot?

Yes I'm obviously threw them out when I got home, but I needed to get home first! I just want to know if there are any quick fixes for this sort of thing in case it happens again.

Place the plug back in the hole, use a lighter to warm the area underneath the flip-flop. be very careful not to let hot plastic start to melt. - do it outside!! Once it starts to get tacky use something to squish the heated plastic around so that it adheres to the inside of your flipflop. Give it a few minutes to cool.
or place tape around the part that is supposed to go on the hole to make it bigger and jam inside. Walk carefully.
Walk across the street to the convenience store & get some superglue.
cut more of the torn part away so the flipflop is more like an open toed sandal.

My best advice is to carry an extra pair in your purse, and if you don't have any than you'll have to borrow shoes from someone. My flip flops broke; all you can do is buy a new pair. If the house where the party is being held is near a drugstore or supermarket, ask someone to buy you the cheapest pair of flip flops they can find, like 2 bucks or something. Just to walk home in, then throw them out.

You can use a plastic bread tie for a quick repair. Push the strap through the hole and slide the bread tie on the backside. See here:

Take a spare pair because it's just a flip minus the flop. 2 for $5.

Walking home barefoot is not the end of the world.
Puleeze, throw out the cheap flip-flops. They are much worse for your feet than being barefoot.

you can't fix it, never did. just a buy a new one. that's whythey're called flops because they flop everytime - even the much hyped havaianas do.

After you stick it back through the hole put some duct tape on it. It will hold up until you get back to old navy and buy a new one. Buy the singles! They are always half off!

if you have duct tape available you could use that. otherwise just go barefoot. and next time don't wear flip flops that will break.
