not even close. the NL is so under the AL its not even funny. forget the yanks, sox, angles, twins... the Blue Jays could take 3 outta 5 from the mets.

The Rox are the only NL team with a winning record in interleague play--and they are not going to the World Series. It speaks volumes that none of the NL division leaders or the NL wild card leader has a winning record against AL teams. Like 2004 and 2005, the only issue in the World Series is whether the the AL team sweeps the NL team. Unless, Heaven forbid, it is a New York Subway Series, like that dreadful 2000 series. The Mets and Yankees split their 6 regular season interleague games this year.

No idea about Yakees and Angles fans....what teams are they? Anyhoo, of course, on paper the NL is not scary but then again the Marlins and D'backs have both won World Series of late. Over 7 games anything can happen.

lets put it this way...
the NL's 2 best teams are the Mets and Cardinals

The Mets are 6-9 vs the AL this year and the Cards just got swept by the PIRATES!

Not at all. The only team in the NL that has a chance is the NY Mets, and they aren't exactly a powerhouse.

The Mets, they have a solid lineup and they have a few starting pitchers that have had success in the post-season. I think the bullpen will be there weakness in the playoffs.

the Mets would scare me, but i don't think their pitching can stay healthy. the Cards are good, but i wouldn't be too scared. if the dodgers stay as hot as they are now and can keep their pitchers healthy, i would be truly scared to face them.
