Yes I have. We worked at the same company then she got a new job and moved. Then eventually my feelings for her subsided then finally it was gone. I remember her but I don't remember the feelings anymore.

Now I'm addicted to another person but it seems I can't get rid of these feelings. However, I do try my best to avoid her. I guess avoidance is the key. And if I catch myself thinking abt her, I think of something else or maybe try to get myself busy by doing stuff like household chores, shopping, hanging out with friends, watching tv or movies, internet, etc.

Yeah, it's not really a sexual thing, but more of a longing or desire to be close to her. I'm addicted, obsessed, whatever to a former coworker. She's without a doubt, one of those people I'll never forget. She's just an all around amazing person. I'm a lesbian and she's straight, happily married, one child, and one on the way. I never told her just how I felt, but I'm sure she knows. We have a huge mutual respect for each other and stay in touch with occasional emails. I've wished many times I could just get her out of my system, but for some reason I can't. I haven't figured it out yet either, but I can relate.

Yes, my ex....I was with him for 7 years....and I have never gotten him out of my system...I moved on and have now been in a committed relationship for 19 years...but I can still feel the hurt from years ago....sort of like a limp after breaking your leg..it's always there.

How can one be addicted to someone? Well, you might be obsessed with someone and that's bad but I'm not sure how you'd get them out of your system. (?)

Still haven't, though since we share a cycle (and I don't mean bike or motor), we have one week of the month to get over anything that looks like addiction to each other. :-)

yes...unfortunately...16 years of addiction. It took a long time, but finally over it. IT was quite a ride, I must say that.
