I had mine pierced about 2 years ago. It's different for everyone (and also depends on your tolerance for pain). But mine did not hurt one bit, it was over before I knew it =)
Just make sure you go to a reputable piercer (remember to breathe and relax during the actual process) and remember to follow the aftercare instructions carefully and you'll be just fine.
Happy piercing!

Yes, it does hurt, but it's quick. Just make sure it is done by a professional. If not, you could end up with an infection in the area and that is more painful. It doesn't hurt like "pass out from the pain type hurt", but clench your teeth and close your eyes and it's over fast. Keep it very clean and move the piercing around so the skin doesn't attach to the piercing.

That depends greatly on who does it and you own pain tolerance.
What feels like a pinch to some people hurts to others. I had mine done by someone who had been doing all kinds of body piercings for years, he also did my tongue a year later and neither one hurt. My best friend had hers done by someone with less experience and she said hers hurt a lot. So my advice would be to look in to the shops in your area and find the one with the best reputation. If you are still nervous about it take an Advil half an hour before you go. Don't ice it, that will make the tissue hardned to pierce and it will hurt more later. Good luck, you will be fine! =)

No it doesn't hurt. I got mine done at the doctors more so for the hygiene of it, but he gave me a local anesthetic and I didn't feel a thing, and it hardly took any time to heal and I've had no problems since getting it done nearly 10 years ago. Go for it!

Yes, it hurts. You are not only getting a needle stuffed thru a very sensitive area, but it's a hollow needle, that takes a chunk of skin with it. people who get piercings, (I have several), have high tolerances for pain, and sometimes even enjoy pain, that is called being a masochist.

Just like getting a shot/needle at the doctor's, really...Of course it hurts a pinch, but only for a second and then you're good to go!
