actually i was on depo fro almost 2 years when i kept getting sick and tired and always extremely emotional. so i went off of it and was on and off my period every other week for almost three months. so i went to a gyno and they put me on a new birth control... yasmin. i stoped bleeding and i haven't been as sick. so if i where you get off the shot and try something else. not getting pregnant isn't worth getting sick over it. seriously!

be sure to follow up with your doctor. tell him all the side effects your are having. DepoProvera injections last up to 3 months and is probably the reason you are having these side effects. In your case, Depo may not be your best option for birth control. You may need to change to a different type of birth control in the future and should explore other options available to you. Secondly, If you have been bleeding as long as you say you have you are probably anemic and need to have the dr. give you some iron pills. You can also get seen in the emergency room if your symptoms worsen.

Sweetie, dont be afraid to tell your doctor everything. It sounds like you are having an adverse reaction to the depo shot. I went thru the same thing about 4 years ago. Get off them shots they are no good. Try the birth control patch is has less side effects

I have heard from others that the depo shot can have that effect. Honestly, if it's doing this to you now, it's going to do this to you forever. My advice is to not get the shot again and look to another form of contraceptive that isn't such a high dose, like the pill.

Please tell your doctor! I'll bet this is a side effect of the birth control. I have no idea how long it will last, but your doctor should be able to tell you.
