because it makes it easier to pee in the toilet.
Why do women leave the toilet down?! That's what I wanna know! I think the seat should stay up, and if ya need it, put it down and make sure to put it back up when you're done! Try THAT on for size and get back to me!
And as for those of you who go on about the whole "gentleman" thing... hey, equal pay, equal play! Why do men always have to be on the dirty end of the stick when it comes to manners? If I have to spend my life remembering to open doors and put seats down and get out of burning buildings last, I deserve an extra $10K per year!
Now put that damn seat down before I flip furniture!

because we don't have time to put it down with a toilet paper since we don't even kno who be on that toilet papre even if its a sibling sister we dont want to touch her pee or poop seat anyway we just lazy and want to get it over with quickly that should simply answer ur question. oh and remember to always put it up cause were not going to temper to put the seat upright k im sorry but thats just a mans nature "quick and easy does the hare good time" is the motto here!:}

Would you rather be somewhere where men don't raise the seat ? (If you did you'd be cleaning it everytime).
Men need to raise the seat because toilets were designed for women and not for men.
(btw he left it up in case he wants to go again.)

heh..funny question....some guys have very poor aim , so they lift the seat as to not get 'dribble' on the seat. and some people prefer the seat in the upright position to allow max air flow over surface of the bowl for sanitary reasons. and well then there is that lazt streakl that well hey i put it up , so someone else can put it down!

they don't understand that hairdryers, combs, makeup & the like fall in them and cause expensive plumbing bills.
This whole up down thing silly; EVERYONE should put the whole lid (and not just the seat) down to prevent expensive plumbing bills and catastrophic accidents when pets & kids fall in. There, now we're all the same.

It's a 50/50 shot that we'll need it up the next time we use it. Could save us a couple of seconds.
Would you prefer that we just leave it down all the time?

Easier to pee to just open the fly and pee standing while not splashing on the seat.
