I'm knitting the Irish Creel bag from this book, and I can't figure out what is happening in the "Turning Ridge" part of the pattern. Does it start short rows or something? If anyone has the book or has knitted the pattern, please explain.

I haven't got the knitting pattern but I have located a blog of someone who is knitting the same bag, a quote from her site:

"I'm making the Irish Creel bag from Folk Bags. The author notes that this pattern is worked to a "very stiff gauge" -- no kidding. I'm glad I have my super-pointy Fiddlesticks needles for this one."
