If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Fora lot of people (me included) acne isn't there because you don't use the right products or because you don't wash your face enough, its because your hormones are out of balance. I went on birth control when I was 15 and nearly all my breakouts went away. I wash my face at night and in the shower when I wake up, and I use an anti-acne lotion, but other than that, the pill is what makes the difference. Birth control makes your body's hormones act differently, and it controls the hormone that causes most acne. If your parents will let you, try it out for a couple months. The results may take a month or two, but be long lasting and constant. It also helps if you have really bad cramps on your period. I hope that helped!

If you have insurance and a bit of money acney laser treatments may be right for you. Contact a dermatologist and consultations are generally free. If nothing else, he or she could prescribe something that would definitely help better than over the counter medications.

My brother tried something called "Klear Action," available without a prescription at most drugstores. It worked wonderfully for him. It is very similar to ProActive, but less expensive

Go to a dermatologist. There are plenty of medicines he (she) can prescribe that will get rid of acne.

Can you afford ProActive? My daughter had a problem with her skin, and it REALLY helped, better than perscription medications and treatments, but it was expensive.

if you sweat wash your face, you could watch what you eat, and not use concelor or foundation that doesn't have salycic acid or benzoyle peroxide because it clogs your pores, and get facials, its relaxing and good for your skin.
