Really! Ronald Regan was an unemployed movie star when he was voted into office...he was suppose to be intelligent????...I don't think so....And now look act Arnold Schwarzeneggar(sp)...another actor/politicians....America votes for people with stage presence...the ability to do the job has little to do with the man voted in......the whole voting process has become nothing but an entertainment circus.
since I'm not an american I assume neocon has something to do with political parties?

Actually these things are brilliant ideas for moving his agenda forward, and the fact that he got lots of people behind these sort of ideas is equally brilliant.
I don't think he was a really smart guy in the sense of being a scholar but you have to admit this kind of skill in getting people to buy what you're selling represents some sort of genius. He had most of America looking up to him like he was their Dad... Truly amazing.
I didn't like the man's politics at all and didn't think he was too on the ball towards the end but you've got to hand it to him--he created most of today's political rhetoric and imagery. No president went everywhere surrounded by red, white and blue before Reagan--I thought the guy might actually be surrounded by baloons and flags 24-7. The guy had PR down to a science.

,And then the politicians get on TV and wonder why more people trust used car salesmen and drug dealers more than they do their elected officials. Its why when somebody is talking about how fast a church youth group could eat a pizza they say, 'it disappeared faster than tax money in Washington'. Its why the comedians don't need to look further than the latest government press release about new regulations on the size of the holes in Swiss Cheese for material.

Nope- I knew he was a moron right from the start. Ever watch "Bedtime for Bonzo"? That guy should NEVER have been the leader of the free world. He shouldn't have been the leader of MacNamara's Band on St. Patty's day, for god's sake!

I remember back in 1994 when Reagan told the nation he had Alzheimer's disease, I was thinking, "yeah, I've known that since 1982".
