Does anyone know the name of that commet that appears every 50-80 years or so? Thank you.

Halley's Comet appears every 76 years.

No doubt about - it is Halley's Comet! I saw it on March 13th, 1986 or 87 - '88.? Anyway, one of those years when I was living in Nova Scotia. It was my son's birthday, and at 3 or 4 a.m. we went out of the city so the lights didn't interfere, and saw the comet! Awesome!

It is Comet Halley .
The closest comet to earth ever .
It comes around every 75 years.
Next time it comes back to visit our good ol planet will be in the year 2061 .

Hard to say without more info. There are several comets (only one m). Perhaps you're thinking of Halley's Comet?
