They got the name AC/DC while getting ready to go play one of thier first shows, they didnt have a name so one of the mothers suggested ac/dc because there was this big ac/dc logo on the adapter of her sewing machine(which I assume she was using at the time.). Kind of interesting ain't it? Alot of people think it stands for something evil or the like but it does not.

if i remember right from the movie on them on vh1. they thought it up from the current used but didn't know till later it also mean't something else, they kept the name anyway to become a top band.
