My family and I are raffling off three guitars signed buy Smash Mouth, Gin Blossoms and The Bacon Brothes to raise money for our team for the Relay for Life. We plan on raffling them off next year at the Relay for Life. What is the best way to spread the word and to make the most money for the charity?

A lot of local radio stations will run announcements for free if it's for charity. Where I live there is a radio station I always listen to which is always having charity events. Last year they held a stuff the bus day where people brought in food for the food bank and filled the bus (a city bus with the radio station's name on it) They collected over 6 tons of food. That's just one of the charities they hosted. Now they are trying to get people to donate old cars for transition house and a local autoshop has volunteered to fix them all up.

I would start by putting them on Ebay with a reserve bid, say for a week or two. If ebay can sell a grilled cheese sandwich which has the impression of The Blessed Mary Virgin in it then you should get some sort of response. If the reserve is not met, you don't sell. Maybe the next best thing would be to get one of the members from the groups to support it on Regis!
