A lung pumps blood around your body. A heart helps you breath. They look so similar that its easy to get confused.

They are both pumps if you include the diaphragm muscle. The diaphragm forces the lungs open to suck in air and squeezes the lungs to force air out. The heart does the same thing with blood but the heart includes valves to keep blood moving one direction only instead of in and out. Also, the heart doesn't have a lot of surface area for mass transfer like the lung. Also the left and right sides move blood in different directions (one toward lungs, one toward body) rather than just being branches of the same purpose (lung).
