Being psychic I believe is a counterfeit in itself of the true power of Jesus Christ. In Him, (besides visions) you can have knowledge of people and situations concerning the past, present and future. You can get this by spontaneous knowing, interpretive dreams, symbolism, through prayer and being in the spirit, versus being in the flesh, where the focus is you rather than Jesus. "Psychic" feelings don't just come with knowledge and visions, but also in revelations, wisdom, sensing something, a feeling.
I firmly believe in the spiritual realm, God, angels, devil and demons, and I believe ghosts and haunted things are just demons. I mean who cares if its a "nice" ghost, or you think you're communicating with a loved one who's passed on, as long as your focus is off God and thinking something else can be real, then the demons have done their jobs right?
I don't believe all psychic people are fakes, I just think, though they may be sensing something, they're listening to the wrong voices. There are incredibly prophetic people out there doing all the same things and more, but you don't hear about them in the media. So look at the pyschics, what power do they have, what power do they really have? Can they walk into a haunted house, tell you what spirit resides and make them leave for good? Can they tell you something about your life with no other knowledge of you (birthdays, etc) and really edify you? or are they just giving you information and advice? Does what they have to offer last?
Like I said, I believe in the spiritual realm, I believe in this power, but go after whats real. I'm not talking about religion, I'm talking about spirituality. You want to be fulfilled? You want understanding, revelations, wisdom and knowledge? You want to prophesy? You want to know who and why you are? Ask Jesus to show himself to you, not prove himself, but reveal himself to you, in your life. Keep asking, He will answer you.
I speak from experience. I have had visions, interpretive dreams, have had prophetic words for people, had revelations come to me, understood situations where symbolism was relevent, knew things were going to happen, heard the voice of God, sensed spirits in people and places, cast demons out of people, witnessed healings, I can go on. None of this is unusual to me, my church encourages following the Holy Spirit, all this and more happens all the time in many, many people.

Being psychic is just a mislabeling of being observant.
If you've ever played poker, you'd assume that the best player was psychic. But it's actually an ability to read the subtleties of people's expressions and actions.
Soldiers and police officers develop a sense of danger that others don't possess. It's not being psychic, it's just an ability to put together a collection of minor observations that indicate trouble.
The fictional character Sherlock Holmes was very observant yet could have been mislabeled a psychic.
The fictional character Professor Higgins of My Fair Lady knew the social background and birthplace of everyone simply by dialect and could have been mislabeled as psychic.

Dreams, and having supernatural knowledge pop into your head that you had no earthly way of knowing.
But every "psychic" manifestation made popular by the media, actually was based upon the ideas of supernatural manifestations presented in the prophetic books of the Bible. God has the "original" for everything that anyone can come up with. Everything else is a pale counterfeit. In the times we are living in, you can have as much supernatural knowledge as you desire by getting to know the God of the Bible. But your first desire must be to seek Him. God is pouring out His Spirit and His Power right now upon anyone who wants Him. Don't go for the false and the weak. Seek after the real thing! The Living God and His knowledge.

"Psychic", other than the usual normal psychological usage for the word, is that which is in self but strange to self. This is a difficult description to use as the mind is able to make strange to itself those things which were know to it. Only when tending to a specific differentiation of self from other or parts thereof in comparison to parts of the strange other may we avoid this self deception of self estrangment, the breaking off of memory from its self. "I don't know" is the usual response to alienated memory fragments, but inexplicable revulsion or inexplicable attractions have possiblity as both are positive expressions but do not have merely the air of strangeness.
If you want to compete with skeptics, you need to know more of normal psychology first before questioning the validity of an others mind.

I believe being psychic just means you are better able to read situations and people, this can come through experience, instinct, and/or open-mindedness. Gut feelings are psychic in my opinion.
