well, my answer might diverge from what you really want.
in islam, we believe that the 7 hell each consist of different colour of flame, which the hottest one is "black" (prophetic scriptures are often symbolic or having discreet meaning). So, theoretically, if there is a black flame, it should be the hottest one, because the higher frequencies beyond the violet portion of the spectrum would be invisible. The higher the frequency the hotter the flame right? So, theoretically, black is the hottest flame.
edited to add:
and i forgot to tell you that the quran also writes the sequence of the flame colour according to its heat:
red, orange, yellow, white, blue, purple, black.

Blue flame is the hottest one. then white, then yellow, Orange, and red.
It's because the frequency of blue light is the highest one. and the red light's frequency is the lowest one. and when a material releases more energy during burning, a light which has emitted (flame) has more energy. thereby, the frequency of that, becomes higher.
I hope I could help

blue is the hottest flame.
nest is white then orange.
it has something to do with the electromagnetic spectra.
it is basically the same with the stars. a blue star is hotter than the white than the orange.

White, it is what the sun is mostly made of and can burn faster than any other part of the flame.

White emits the most energy. White has the highest frequency of all colors (because it IS all colors), and therefore has the most energy, therefore is the hottest. This is that electromagnetic radiation crap someone talked about above.

There doesn't seem to be any scientific consensus on this subject, in part because it is very difficult to separate the terms "fire" and "flame".
I know that is not much help, but that's the way it is.
