When did you know that your spouse would be your spouse?

When did you get that feeling of "this is the one" while dating or whatever?

Not to critisize, Leah, but if you knew from the start why did it take 5 years just to get engaged?

When I first laid my eys on my now wife, she was the one.

I thought from the moment that I first laid eyes on my lady that she would be someone that I wanted to get to know completely. After we had dated for about 4 months and we were both swearing that we'd never remarry, is when I knew that we would end up spending the rest of our days united. We are now happily engaged over 2.5 years later and set to marry next May 20.

gees, honestly, from the very start, I would say the first two dates felt "different" then any other first date I have ever had.

On our second date, long story short, there was a joke, that we were "engaged",

Well, 5 years later we are engaged. So I would say we felt it from the start.

After about three months he said "I feel like I want to marry you" and three years later I was engaged.

My husband said it was our first date for him, but for me it was couple moments over the first three months. I thought he was a bit of brat and too frat boyish for me. There was just these "moments" that would happen from time to time which just felt different from anyone else I had ever known before. Never had that one flash moment. Hope that helps you.

the first time I knew he was the one was when I was put into the hospital to have surgery(We had been together about 4 months)Just watching him worry about me and fuss over me taking care of my every need showed me how much he cared for me then I knew he was the one for me we have now been together for twelve years and our 6th wedding aniversary is on saturday
