I'm not sure when my period would be due, I was on the pill, but skipped the sugar pills to avoid my period on vacation. Later I discovered that the effectiveness of triphasic pills is decreased by doing this. I had some very light spotting last week (definitely not a period) and I have all of the symptoms that I had in my previous 3 pregnancies. I have taken a couple home tests and the doctor did a qualitative blood test which also came back negative. I would only expect to be approximately 2 weeks pregnant. I am very nausous (even vomited a few times), lightheaded, very sore breasts (veins have become very visible), burping a lot, but I don't know what to think. I thought that I wouldn't want to be pregnant again because I just turned 40, but the more symptoms I have the more I realize that I would love to have another baby. Do you think that it could be possible even with the negative blood & urine tests? Could being 2 weeks still be to early to show up positive?

First, about the sugar pills: I never take them. The reason: my Gyno told me that they are just that: Sugar pills, theres no reason to take them, so I don't know why you think they are going to effect your other pills. Although, every seven day period that I should be taking them, I still always get my period, so I'm not sure why you think that would make you skip your period. The second thing- two weeks is NOT too early for a "at home" pregnancy test to come up positive. As someone else said, the tests detect the level of HCG in your urine. So whether you're 2 weeks or 2 months, it should still come up- as long as you have one of those "early detection" pregnancy tests. You may have to splurge to get a better quality test. If you don't have the money, I live in MO and we have free clinics where you can go here: Health Department, Planned Parenthood, Birthright. And the last thing, if you really believe that you are pregnant, your body may be "psyching you out", thus making you have similar symptoms to pregnancy. Honestly though, the best advice that anyone can give you is go see the Doctor again. This way you can discuss your concerns and options with a professional.

Being 2 weeks is to early for a positive pregnancy test at home, but if your doctor did a blood test it would show an increase in normal HCG levels. HCG is a hormone that appears when you are pregnant, and is what determines whether you are pregnant or not. Go back to your doctor and let them know about your symptoms. It is possible that you are pregnant. Treat yourself as if you are, until you know for sure otherwise. Do another pregnancy test in a week and a half, especially if your symptoms persist. Good luck.

Your body is confused. You will probably have to stop the pill until you have a full regular period(using other forms of birth control in the meantime) then start the pills as you were first told. I did something like that before and that is what I had to do to get my cycle back on track. Good luck and be safe not sorry. From a mother of 5 beautiful children.

I would think two weeks might be still a bit early to show up, having two pregnancies myself, i believe the only thing you can rely on is How well you know your body, and you would know it better than anyone else, im sorry to say, it sounds like you are to me! and i think you would know that better than anyone else, when you have been pregnant before, you know when you are again! wish you luck:-)

I would think that only your doctor would know. Why don't you get another test done. Good Luck.
