i have to take my road test next month
im driving a sunbird for the test
what are some tips
to help with the test and to calm my nerves
im a good driver

You just answered your own question...you need to keep cool. You'll do great as long as you study the written material. I don't know what part of the country you are in, but ask those who have taken the driving portion of the test and see what the evaluator had them do. Some places (like San Francisco) are big on parallel parking. Make sure you always use your turn signal!!! Good luck!

Learn some deep breathing exercises. Do not breathe shallow. Draw in and push your belly out. This will cause your diaphragm to expand. Try it. You can feel the stress level drop. If that doesn't help just remember you can always take it again if you goof up, the tester is human just like you, and in the big picture this really doesn't matter.

I am an experienced driver but I failed the first test because I stopped totally at a stop sign which was before a junction so I had to stop again at the junction. There was no line at the stop sign.......
Go and see first where they do the test and drive around first before the test date.

if you get like 2 tries, the first time have some fun and just gun it the whole way, then the second, take it seriously.

Don't worry about it, most driving testers really aren't very strict. They pass almost anyone.

yes please try to stay calm. and practice, practice, practice. i just took mine last thursday and passed on the first try. i was so nervous before hand but i did really well. the driver was nice also, that calmed me down.
