Looking for good Johhny Depp movies to rent or buy...what would you reccomend and why?

What's Eating Gilbert Grape (a very homey down to earth--make you cry- film)
Sleepy Hollow (cool horror flick)
Blow (if you like drug-traffiking movies)
Pirates of the Caribbean (both of them, of course)
Chocolat (small, but significant and romantic role)
Finding Neverland (Oscar-nominated performance--great film)
From Hell (pretty good movie about the Jack-the-Ripper story)
Secret Window--(good Stephen King flick---Johnny is a hallucinating murderer MUAHHHAA HA HA!) lol
AND ABOVE ALL (at least)
Edward Scissorhands is classic Johnny Depp
Ed Wood (has an 8.0/10 rating on www.imdb.com)
Others:
Cry-Baby (if you like musicals like "Grease", etc.)---kinda takes place in the 50s
21 Jump Street (it's not a movie, but maybe you could download or rent different episodes)
Donnie Brasco (if you like Italian mafia films)
The Brave (its a film with him and Marlon Brando--something Johnny directed)--pretty good

you should definatly buy Pirates of the Caribbean: the curse of the black pearl beacuse its really, really awsome!
you should also go to the theatre and see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest... its really awsome!
i also recomeand Benny and Joon, its really good, Johnny Depp is a really good actor in that one!
Johnney Depp is a great actor, meaning that his performance rocks in everything he has made, whether you like the story line or not, Johnny Depp has to be excelent in that film!!!
I think, if you have the time and money, to either buy all the movies he's ever made or go out and rent them to see if you want to buy them... you shouldn't be disapointed in any movie he's made!!!!!

A Nightmare on Elm Street - His first film...watch and smile at how young he was and his big poofy hair
Edward Scissorhands - It was just such a sweet movie
Ed Wood - This movie still cracks me up even though I've seen it so many times
Benny & Joon - Again a really sweet film
Don Juan DeMarco - Another sweet funny little film...starring two of the greatest actors ever, Depp and Marlon Brando
The Brave - disturbing film he co-wrote/directed...hard to find i got it off of ebay
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - heh...its just hilarious
Pirates of the Caribbean - of course
Finding Neverland - beautiful film
The Libertine - Before he got really nasty looking it really kinda turned me on...

ok, Cry baby is just a johnny depp movie that everyone needs to see at some point...its terrible acting but johnny depp looks os hot in that movie and it is so bizarre and out there! you just haven't lived unless you have seen that movie.....you should also see Edward scissorhands because he did an incredible job and it is an amazing movie. its one of the best movies that i have ever seen and agian you havn't lived uless you ahve watched that movie....you should also see donnie brasco because it was a really good movie and he also looked hot in that too....just about any movie yoiu know if he is in it then its a movie taht you ahve to see.

Benny and Joon (he was brilliant in that), What's Eating Gilbert Grape (again GREAT acting...nice job from Leonardo Dicaprio) and Edward Scissorhand are my favorites by Johnny Depp.

He plays Jack Sparrow perfectly in Pirates of the Caribbean. Rent the first and then go and see the second one.

Ed Wood...its a bit weird, but he's excellent in it!
Whats Eating Gilbert Grape is excellent as well!
And of course the Pirates of the Carribean!

I love most of Johnny Depp's movies (except Blow and a few others similar to it). One of my favorites is Benny and Joon. He was able to show many sides of the character and he was really amusing. I loved it. I also enjoyed Ed Wood because it was based on a true story and his portrayal was very nice and sensitive, as was his portrayal of Edward Scissorhands.
