Yes, they are -that- bad. Use something like a mystic tanner, which is basically paint. Using a tanning bed basically up's the amount of UV rays your body is being subjected to. You are not just killing skin cells, you are effectivly aging your skin in double time by tanning regularly.

In 10-15 years, your skin will have aged closer to 20-25 years in age. You'll have more wrinkles, your skin will have more liver spots, and you will be about 500 times as likely to have dark blotchy looking "moles", which are signs of skin cancer.

Go with self tanning lotions or an airbrushed tan. Much healthier, and the same look.

A study just came out about addiction to tanning. They're bad for you and eventually you'll get skin cancer if you continue.

yes. they are very bad, and if i say it any other way, i'll probably tone down the seriousness.

self-tanning solutions are actually good--everyone's afraid of messing up the results, but i have ways to help you do it perfectly--if you're up for trying to be an awesome self-tanner. ;P

exfoliate first. follow the instructions on your self-tanner carefully--it may not seem effective, but the companies who make the product DO know what they're talking about. :) after that, fix bad results with a self-tan remover. if it's really bad, you can remove the whole thing!

i'd recommend buying both a high-quality self-tanner (may be expensive, but it's better than tanning beds in both the long and short runs!) and a self-tanning remover. if you want any further help, or for me to try and find some prducts, e-mail me. hope i helped!

tanning beds will definitely cause skin cancer. You should use sunblock. It may take a little longer to tan but you will end up with a beautiful safe tan.

My friend Danielle works at a tanning salon and she says that they can increase the risks of cancer and early wrinkling greatly, due to the UV exposure, but it just depends on the skin sensitivity of the people who use them. They start to look extra fake after too many visits, though.

it is proven that e very time u use a tanning bed ur risk for skin cancer increases. i suggest buying olay sunless tanner. it is not orange at all and first time you apply it, it gives a healthy sunkissed glow rather than making u look like a human cheeto. it also evens your skin tone for a fresh, realistic tan. good luck!

Not only is it really bad for your skin - but it really AGES your skin. You won't notice it now - but 10-15 years from now your skin won't be as nice as it could be without the sun damage. Please protect your skin and use a self tanner.
