like i said before on a similar question .what you and i may see as a stupid pointless question to the person who asked it it may be quite reasonable .many factors come into play you see ,their level of education their IQ their pig ignorance their downright pig headiness ,an inability to understand that what they are saying is rude or offensive and lastly just prejudice and hatred in some people .that's what makes yahoo answers so unique you don't have to reply if you don't want to and to ignore these questions would be for the best for all concerned if it upsets you.

I think it really depends on the question some r just for fun and I think those r good because u get to have a sense of humor without it life would be boring (the sense of humor part); some questions though like the ones that sound like a child molester should be off of here as there r several younger children on here, those ones should be reported. This is supposed to be informative and fun some people just ruin it for others which is sad.

And who is it to decide whether a question is stupid or pointless. What may be to you, might not be to someone else. Therefore, reporting them would only take away from those that may appreciate them.

No. Tell me, who determines which question poses a valid point, and which one doesn't? What you think is pointless may be very meaningful to the person asking the question. For example, this question seems completly pointless to me, but I'm sure you think this question is great.

Yes - especially because everyone in the whole world has the same mind and thoughts and therefore automatically knows what is and is not deemed pointless by other people.

I do not think so because of freedom of speech. However, if the smart people would just stop paying attention to them, maybe they'll go away on their own. Besides we all could use a few free points sometimes, right?

I don't think so if they are harmless and not offensive, if they are just silly, what's the problem? Why do we need to be so serious all the time? We all could use a laugh or even a smirk every so often, and if you feel it would be "beneath" you to answer it, then just go on to the next.
