well you can always suck up to them for a while, don't get an attitude, and don't cause trouble. then after about 2 weeks ask them for it, thats how i get my parents to buy me something(and im 14).

just wait til the Wii comes out. it's not too much. sure it's going to be like 8 times as costly as the n64 (which last i checked is sold for less than 28 dollars)
the wii can easily play any n64 game (though i think you download it from the internet for a small price.{less than the cost of a game cart} not sure)
that way maybe you can tug on their nostalgia for the old, original nes. (also playable on the wii)

emulators and roms are actually illegal if you don't own the actual system. much like ripping songs, and the whole napster thing. it is very hard to track down who has what emulators and roms, and a lot of people do it, but it is illegal to have copies of games that you do not own, in actuality

You know...I like to play the classic games everyonce in awhile....I have a Ps2, Ps, Sega Genesis, Atari, Calico-Vision, Ninteno, N64,Super Nintendo, Gameboy, Gameboy Color all that stuff... Sometimes you get the urge to play em...O by the way man...its called show R E S P E C T...Then if they don't allow it then im sorry there just a bunch of morons...Game on bro

How old are you? if your 16 or older just buy it, they cant stop you. Your money, your decision, just make sure your saving for the future also.

if you have broadbannd internet goto www.coolroms.com and download the emulator with the roms that you want and they need not even know that you got them.
