Opera is superior :)

I use it at work, home and on my mobile phone and these are the main reasons:

- speed (extremely quick and stable)
- light (small program)
- free (no skin off your nose)
- mouse gestures (can't live without this)
- skins (make it look pretty)
- pop-up blocker
- form auto-completion
- passes acid2 test
- works on a number of platforms
- 25 languages
- the best out of the box browser!

(other goodies: RSS reader, Bit Torrent client, Email Suite, Magic Wand can remember passwords, Widgets)

I prefer firefox over internet explorer (version 6) as firefox is more secure and crashes less often.

Version six of IE is a terrible browser compared to firefox but compared to IE 7 (in testing stages) Firefox loses the title of Best Browser.

I recommend that if you:

-Use Windows 9x/2000/XP (with no service pack or sp1) then go for Firefox
-Use Windows XP SP2 in a Business environment then use Firefox as IE7 is only in Beta
-Use Windows XP SP2 for non business purposes the try out the beta of IE7 at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/down...

FF: Uses Tabbed Browsing
IE6: Does Not Use Tabs
IE7: Uses Tabs

Crazy browser is ok too. Or Flock

Firefox

Firefox is best. Follows all standards, loads pages fast, and when 2.0 comes out, it will spell check in forms. Firefox and Opera have had tabbed browsing for years.

Internet Explorer is finally improving with Version 7, but it is still in Beta. Finally tabbed browsing and correct CSS interpretation. Of course all those people who only check their webpages in IE will be surprised when IE7 renders like Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Konqueror

Opera is getting bulkier, slower, and failing to follow CSS standards as well as it used.

Safari if you are on MAC is top notch too.

FIREFOX! A Better Web Experience
Firefox 1.5 has an intuitive interface and blocks viruses, spyware, and popup ads. It delivers Web pages faster than ever. And it’s easy to install and import your favorites. Packed with useful features like tabbed browsing, Live Bookmarks, and an integrated Search bar, Firefox will change the way you experience the Web, for the better.
Faster Browsing
Enjoy quick page loading as you navigate back and forward in a browsing session. Improvements to the engine that powers Firefox deliver more accurate display of complex Web sites, support for new Web standards, and better overall performance.

Firefox is by far my favourite - unlike others it's incredibly customizable! Faster, safer, cooler, short learning curve.... you can tweak it however you want... small download. Awesome awesome awesome!

I use Firefox and haven't seen a pop-up in years... and banner ads are seen once (if ever) and then I block them forever through my Adblock Plus add-on.

I can tweak any site I visit through CSS that Firefox will use instead of the sites - so even text ads are gone. (it takes a bit of web design knowledge, though)

Opera's better than the aweful IE by far, but it lacks Firefox's customizablitity... it's fast, though, and some prefer that above all else.
