Well, I can give you much information, but need to know for the lizard's sake. What reptiles have you owned before? Have you done any research? If you will email me back, I can give you all the info you need, because I once had one. My email is sapphireserpent4evr@yahoo.com.

get serious - they are difficult, they need quite large habitat compared to their size - are u sure you have space for them? there are other reptiles like a chameleon that make as good pet of better - more fun with them. basilisks are just shy and jumpy. especially if it should be your first reptile at all, then you may forget about a basilisk.it is not about the cost of the animal, but about all the hassle. sorry for discouraging you, i am not saying they are not cool. but there is the ratio between being rewarding pet and being just hassle.

yeah, go to reptizone to find the details.
currently i have far less pets than i used to have: only two lizards (veiled chameleon and giant madagascariensis day gecko, a porcupine, 2 parakeets and a boyfriend so i know what it all takes to be fed, groomed, cleaned after them. and if i wanted to add something i would fancy other stuff rather than a basilisk
