i'm looking for the current requirments and forms that need to be filed in order to run for president and i'm not having much luck finding current ones any ideas on where they are?

I. QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must:

A. Be a natural-born citizen of the United States
B. Be at least 35 years of age, and
C. Be a resident of the United States at least 14 years.
US Constitution, Art. II, §1(5)

II. REQUIREMENTS

There are two basic methods by which a person may have his or her name placed on the ballot as a presidential candidate in the March 7, 2000 Presidential Primary Election:

1. by the Secretary of State as a generally-recognized candidate, or
2. by circulating nomination petitions.

You must file separately in each state. Contact the Secretary of State in every jurisdiction to get their requirements.

Unless you get a major party endorsement, you will probably have to get signatures on petitions in every state.

That should keep you busy for a while.

you need to be with a political party and go through them to be on the ballot. otherwise, you have to collect a certain amount of signatures in each state to get on that state's ballot.
