I don't know about ferrets but we have two pet rabbits (my mother got them to my daughter for an Easter present) and their claws are sharp. When ever someone in my family gets scratched by one of the rabbits it cause us to bleed. But the bleeding isn't bad. it's just like getting a little scratch because that is all it is.

Ferrets are high priced and extremely severe upkeep. They poop distinctive situations an afternoon, rip up the carpet, dig in any bag you circulate away open, thieve your rings/pens/pencils/chapstick/ and something you circulate away around, dig of their food bowl, and so on... yet, in case you could shelter all the craziness that incorporates a ferret... they make astonishing pets which will make you snort for years. Rabbits are not as high priced and are not as severe upkeep yet they nevertheless require annoying artwork to maintain. they are much less complicated to guard in my adventure however. Rabbit's might nicely be loopy, yet they are no longer as off the wall as ferrets. They the two value money and are annoying to maintain up with. in case you go with an much less complicated puppy to guard, then are not getting a ferret or rabbit. believe me. you're greater effectual off getting a greater self sufficient animal like a cat.

they are about a 5 but it all depends on their mood or how well/often you clip their toenails. but dont let that make you not want a ferret. they can be taught not to scratch

It all depends on if their nails have been clipped. But they do scratch no matter what. I hope this isn't a deciding factor in what pet you are going to get.
