As long as you are taking the online class at a real accredited University, then any employer will accept it.

Stay away from diploma mills and make sure your University is accredited. You can double check the accreditation by calling the higher educational commission in the state the University is located in.

Also, ask your employer. Speak with them about what youa re going to do and how it will help their company.

online classes are as good as the effort you are willing to put in. they are often self paced so you don't have a teacher telling you every day what is due for the next class ect. if you are willing to work hard and be disciplined enough to study the material then there is no reason why an employer should look at an online class any differently than an in person class. with a few small exceptions such as a class that has a lab like chemistry or anatomy of course.

I am currently working on my PhD online. It is a struggle. I am taking two classes and put in about 16 hours a week reading and writing. My employer is reimbursing my for my classes and doesn't care that the classes are online, just that the school is accredited (Capella University).
