Yes unfortunately. You have to remember that not only did the surgery cut through fat it also cut through muscle. It will take some time to heal, but never fear time is on your side. Keep a healthy diet and a moderate exercise program and before you know it you'll be back to pre-pregnancy body. good Luck!!

It really depends on you and if you breastfeed (b/c that helps lose weight a little faster) and if you work out right away. I have had 3 children, my second was a c-section. I breastfed all of my children and I didn't really have a harder time losing it after the c-section then I did after the other two.
Just start off light and work your way up to a harder workout, but don't do to much at once.
Best of luck!

Yes to both, a little harder to lose & takes longer after a C section, depending especially on what kind of C section...emergency C sections are the toughest where they open vertically...but don't be too worried about things right now, just focus on the new baby & Congrats !!! Mother of 3 :)

It's tough, but it can be done. I had a c-section about 3 years ago, and I'm still working on it. I find if you gain weight after your pregnancy, you get this gross overhang of fat above your scar. I finally did something about it, and I look fantastic (if I do say so myself).

I just had a c section 3 months ago and i have already lost 30 pounds. Your best bet is to breastfeed because it makes your belly smaller faster. if you have had a c section or plan to have one, you need to take it easy for a while, at least 8 weeks.

You want to hold off doing abdominal exercises, but walking is okay.
Usually if youre breast feeding you'll drop pounds really quick.
Just dont push your body physically until it has had the time it needs to heal. Once you tear that once it doesnt go back and builds horrible scar tissue.

The only thing that could go wrong is that you lose too much blood, but usually this is only if you bleed easily. or ahve thin blood but if you dont then dont worry bout it.. but other than that, it will only be harder because of the healing process but other than that, no. Whens your due date by the way because i have to have my csection it 2 more weeks and in 2 more weeks ill be 38 weeks.

Sometimes you can't because the muscles they cut won't contract as well as they used to. It takes ALOT of working out to get rid of it.

Well if they already have you gutted, why not have them do some lipo while they are in there? Think people, its all about multitasking.
