I'm sick of people (and especially DC) referring to "the big three." As interesting a character as Wonder Woman has the potential to be (and usually the writers don't allow her to meet that potential), she's not even close to as popular or well-known as Batman & Superman are. She's probably not even as well-known as the Flash, either worldwide or in the US. I think the "big 3" term as well as the "let's change WW's powers to make them exactly like Superman's" phenomenon are political correctness nonsense that make WW a much less interesting character and damage DC's credibility in telling stories.

Okay...I see the future JLA as the following:
1. Red Tornado, but after he gets put back together, certainly.
2. Captain Marvel, as he seems to have lost his alter ego of Billy Batson (BRAVE NEW WORLD one-shot). He'll need an adult group to belong to, and I do not see him returning to the JSA. He needs a purpose.
3. Green Lantern, but John Stewart, not Hal Jordan. I don't think Batman still trusts Jordan completely, and that may prevent Hal from rejoining.
4. I would like to see either a) Mister Terrific or b) Doctor Mid-Nite join, as the JLA could use another logical thinker like the Batman on the team. Possible, but not likely.
Green Arrow is going to be the mayor of Star City, so he's out. Maybe on an as-needed basis.
No Hawkman. He doesn't get along with anyone.
5. Plastic Man needs to be on the team. Comic relief, and Batman trusts him to get the street information the JLA may need. Plus, the guy can do damn near anything he thinks up.
6. The current Atom, Ryan Choi (again BNW). Resident scientist thing.
J'onn J'onzz (Martian Manhunter) will most likely be part of the JLA in some fashion, but not a regular member. Again check out Brave New World to see what is going on with him.
7. The Huntress should be on the team. Personal favorite. Maybe a chance to redeem herself, but it seems she is too busy in Gotham City right now. In the future?
8. Black Canary would be a good choice.
9. Elongated Man, as he needs to have something positive to do with himself. He says he is retired and is no longer drinking his Gingold, but the events in 52 suggest he may have to put on the tights in order to find out what is happening witht the Cult of Conner and its connection to his dead wife.
That's enough. I am sure that there are others out there who are more deserving, at least to the readers, but 9 members are enough.

1. Capt. Marvel for the sheer strength power, flight, lightning, and heart.
2. Hourman (Rick Tylor, current Hourman). When he takes Miraclo, he has super-strength , around 80 tons, and also has heightened speed, amongst other abilities. Good to have on team in the event Capt. Marvel is out of commision.
3. Hawkman and Hawkgirl. They are both versatile combatants, have heightened strength, and the power of flight.
4. Green Lantern, Hal Jordan. Doing it "old school", despite the retcon storyline about Jordan, he is still da' man concerning the Emerald Ring, and many characters, good and bad, pale beside him in terms of not only power, but determination and courage.
5. The Atom. His ability to change size is advantageous, and, not only can he can perform tremendous deeds when miniaturized, but his knowledge of Science and Physics in particular are helpful.
6. Firestorm. While still not a fan of his costume, he is, admittedly, a very powerful character-he can transmute virtually any matter or energy.
7. Huntress. Admittedly, she is even a grittier version of Batman on occasion, and her street smarts give her an edge against thugs and henchmen. (Plus, her costume kicks buttock).
8. Plastic Man. Again, another horrid costume, but his powers are even more vast than most readers realize-he's proven to be near immortal after being frozen and had his body shattered, laying at the bottom of the ocean for centuries (in JLA-read the issues), he was also able to reconstitute himself back together. His shape shifting abilities and imitative skills are key.
9. Dr. Midnight. His vision allows him to see in virtually any energy spectrum, as well as total blackness, but it his skills as a physician on both humans and meta-humans that make him valuable in the event of injuries.

I don't want to offend anyone here, but even though this is how the story line was, Wonder Woman would not be in my top three. And my brother and I used to always slam Aquaman, but I can't believe no one has mention him. Anyway, I'm Old School JL, but as long as I've got Sup, Bruce Wayne, Flash and The BIG GREEN LANTERN(my favorite for some reason) I'm cool.

They already had a team without the Big 3. It sucked. (See Justice League Detroit).

J'onn J'onzz. Hes one of the most intereting heros I think, and I've become very fond of him over the years.
