I was in a cottage (80 years old) in Upper Michigan, it was in the boonies (no traffic or trains) and was in the loft. Suddenly intense vibrations rippled though my body through the floor. The dog I was watching also noticed. It was in the afternoon and lasted a couple of minutes. Supernatural or nature?

It was just an earthquake. Believe it or not, there's a fault line system that runs through the great lakes. Not very active, but it's there.

You can actually get earthquakes just about anywhere; they're just more common in some places than others.
When in doubt, you should probably just assume that a phenomenon is not supernatural; most of the time, it's quite natural, and you just don't know what the explanation is for it.

Odds are it was a mild earthquake. Check into any local fault lines that may of run through the area. Also it couldv'e been caused by an underground mine or if there is an active mine close by couldv'e been caused by the blast. You need to look into all the possible causes before you call it supernatural. If it is nothing "normal" then it may be paranormal.

well, it *could* have been an earthquake. living in cali i know how it feels when floors vibrate. they do it all the time. it could have just been a minor earthquake. if not, then maybe it could have been? my question is, why would a ghost shake the ground? lol. but there's difinitely a possibility. and i would leave that cottage if i were u, just to be on the safe side ;)

There has to be a logical explanation for it.
I believe spirits are real, but I do not believe they move things around and shake the floor to scare people. They've moved on and have more important things to do.

1)was there a small quake?
2)was the drier on?
3)was there an animal under house?
my house shakes all the time either because there is a german shepard under it or our washer and/or the drier is on.
