One of the best movies ever hell yeah
I think bodhi is most likely crushed by a big wave and dies, even if he had lived through one surf he would have gone back out he only lived to get radical and that was his life dream he had reached nirvana his life was at its greatest,

He was caught because the last scene showed he stood surrounded by police. He couldn't do anything. At that time, he was wearing towel and didn't hold his surf board, so it was impossible for him to run away. And the wave at that time was very huge.
