because they're afraid of what they don't understand. all they know is the hate they were taugh growing up. their minds are too tiny and closed to accept any facts or thoughts of common sense. all they know is they must point fingers and pass blanket judgment on anything/anyone that's different.
notice, though, that the ones who scream the loudest that we are "sinners" are the ones who have the most to hide?
they'll never learn because they are sad, lonely stupid people.

Sorry to say once they have caught the virus its impossible to reach them the best that can happen is they will die off in the end ,the chances of them evolving further is hampered with such fear they cant move forward at all, best to just peel them off and keep walking .

CHRISTIANITY= VIRUS OF THE MIND


Christianity is basically nothing more than an extremely efficient virus of the mind.

Since they emanate from humans and therefore have an organic component, all ideas have a survival instinct just like their human progenitors, and will seek to propagate themselves into as many human hosts as possible. Now of course some ideas are beneficial to their human hosts, but not all.

Christianity is one of those malignant versions. Of course, the long-term life expectancy of its human hosts is beneficial to the Christian mind virus since it allows more propagation, but ultimately the survival of its human hosts is irrelevant, as demonstrated throughout history in wars with competing religious viral "memes" (ideas).

Need proof? Just look at the evangelical nature of Christianity. Christianity drives its adherents to "spread the word" through human-to-human contact...just like a virus spreads.

And what is a "word" anyway? Nothing more than the spoken or written expression of an IDEA. The Christian Bible even ADMITS that God is nothing more than an IDEA..."In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD WAS GOD", remember?

Need more proof? Ever wonder why the Catholic Church opposes birth control and abortion? It's not because abortion is murder, because throughout history the Catholic Church has either endorsed murder (Crusades, Inquisition) or turned a blind eye to it (Holocaust). No, it's because THE MORE UNEDUCATED, POOR, IGNORANT SOULS THAT ARE BORN INTO POVERTY AND MISERY ON THIS PLANET, THE GREATER THE CHRISTIAN MIND VIRUS' CHANCES OF SURVIVAL.

We think the cross to bear is not for those who are gay, but those who believe in crosses in the first place.

Theres no point in trying to convince other people to believe what you believe. You just have to accept that they believe something different than you. Plus ultra religious people seem to never even consider the possibiity that people could be born gay.

You can't. The best thing for you to do is to reach out to the moderates. I am religious, but I have come to change my beliefs. I believe homosexuality may be something people are born with.

What you shouldn't do is to go on the offensive. Gay pride parades and public events will only create more tension. So be calm and peaceful. The ultra religious will not change their minds. Unless God speaks to them in person. Funny how people who proclaim faith as their way of life are so closed off to other possibilities.

Ultra religious people are so stuck in what they think is right. It's darn near impossible to explain to them anything other than what they want to believe. You might try doing research on the prevalence of homosexuality in nature, and use the argument that if animals other than people are homosexual, then it must not be a choice, but rather a different wiring of the brain, since animals are incapable of making choices such as that.

You are RIGHT - IT IS NOT A "CHOICE." A CHOICE IS WHEN YOU MAKE A CONSCIOUS DECISION BETWEEN MORE THAN ONE OPTION AND YOU MAKE A SELCTION. Being gay does not work that way at all for most of us! How many heterosexuals "DECIDED" to be attracted to the opposite sex? Exactly. Too bad for THEM that their limited thinking prevents them from understanding how it is also a natural thing for many people to be deeply attracted to the same gender and have beautiful, lasting committed relationships.

The truth is that only gay people know whether being gay is a choice or not. Christians and all straight people cannot know. All gay people will tell you that it is not a choice. It is not.

Nope. Haven't found a way to explain to my parents that I didn't choose to become transsexual and bisexual (maybe lesbian, haven't exactly figured it out yet, never dated anyone). They can't wrap their heads around the idea that I did not chose this, its just who I am. I'm convinced that the only way they are going to understand is if they open their minds. Doesn't feel very nice when your Dad says that we're full of **** (he was referring to all LGBT) because he thinks its all a choice.

I don't think there is anything you can do, the fact is that there is no scientific evidence that god or anything in the bible happened, however science will prove that being gay is a born thing. They will always throw the bible back at anyone who is gay, but there is nothing you can do about it!
