I am not a patriot = I think all people are the same. Why like anyone less just because they live in another country? That is the definition of being prejudiced.

Thinking that all people are equal doesn't make you more or less of a patriot. Remember the framers of the constitution stated that "all men are created equal". Did that mean they were not patriots?

I think being a patriot is being grateful for the opportunities that your country gave you. It means you are willing to defend the principles that your country stands for. As an American we relish the rights that we have, free press, freedom of religion, the right to criticize our leaders, the right to vote, and engage in business. As an American we will strive to promote freedom, justice and opportunities. We also make mistakes, but we are our own best critics.

There is nothing wrong with you. You are actually a true American for believing that all ppl are created equally.

Also, being a patriot is not about what you referred to.

A patriot has the courage to fight for his/her country or allies to save our American way or allies from being harmed.IE, I participated in the Gulf War which was a just war because a madman had invaded Kuwait.

A patriot also has the courage to REFUSE TO FIGHT when a madman is leading us into a war that is going to destroy our way of life or kill 100,000s of innocent human beings for no reason whatsoever.

I agree

I feel a connection to all people
a human race, a global community

my feelings towards people do not stop at my country's border.

I also do not consider myself a patriot. I am just a member of the human race that happens to live in the US.

We're all on the same round rock flying through space, we're all in it together. So we should care for each other as we do ourselves. Plus there is a lot we could learn from each other, actually most of our histories involve each other.

No there's nothing wrong with you. It's called being open-minded and tolerant. Which, I guess, makes you weird since the trend is to be narrow-minded and judgemental as hell. I'm with ya, though. :)

I don't think there is anything wrong with you. I think a lot of people would be better off if they had your attitude about other people.
