Just because they sign good players doesnt guarantee a good year.

I expect the Blues to finish anywhere from 7-10th. I dont see them finishing any higher then this due to the traditional western conference powers being as strong as before.

Prediction:
Playoff Bound: Red Wings, Canucks, Avalanche, Stars, Predators, Flames, and a toss up between Sharks, Coyotes, and Blues.

I expect the Blues to just squeak into the playoffs. They are improved over last year. Remember that the Blues lost a lot of 1 goal games. This year should be interesting for them

honestly....i see the blues barely making the playoffs. the signings of guerin, hinote, and rucinsky will help. i would like to see the blues put sanford as the number 1 (as much as it pains me to say that) and have legace be there to guide him and teach him the ways. the blues have a lot of young talent (i watch them a lot), but they do not have the nhl experience that the blues need to compete on the same level of detroit, colorado, etc. give em another year or two and they will be there

They're going to get better. They have a decent goalie in Manny Legace. They should have healthier defensemen this year. And they added some punch up front, signing Bill Guerin, Dan Hinote and Martin rucinsky. Also they have Erik Johnson and others coming up. They're still not going to make the playoffs this year, but they should be a harder team to beat and perhaps they're going to get out of thebasement.

I hate to break yhis to you, but it takes a long time to rebuild a hockey team. Fresh talent usually takes time to develop and in hockey, it takes time for the players to develop chemistry. It's good to see a team like the Blues rebuild, but you shouldn't complain too much. You had one of the best teams in the NHL over the past few years.

The blues still have a ways to go. Their defense and net minding is still week. Most teams do not tum it around in one year. Losing Demitra was a big loss, and Tkchuck is a year older.

Rebuilding takes a long time. They won't make the playoffs this year.
