I'm hoping to find so good punisher stories to read. i've read almost all of garth ennis's work with the character, what are some other writers worth reading?

Mike Baron wrote the Punisher regular series that started in 1987 after the first limited series in 1986. The first 5 issues were drawn and colored by Klaus Janson (Frank Miller's inker on Daredevil and Dark Knight).
Baron wrote almost all of the first 62 issues. He was kept on the book so long because he did a killer job (pun intended). He wrote great stories that helped make the Punisher a fan fave. The best part is the back issues aren't hard to find and they're not too expensive - yet.
Check out issues 1-5 to see how Baron established Punisher to fit into the Marvel Universe. Then, read issues 53 -59 for a seven-part story called "The Final Days".
There are a ton of great story arcs between these issues, but these two stories show how well Mike Baron wrote Frank Castle. Hunt them down - you won't regret it. Then, if you like those, check out "Nexus" by Mike Baron and Steve Rude.
Also, I recommend the recent limited series by David Lapham - "Daredevil vs. Punisher". Lapham has a terrific title of his own called "Stray Bullets" that's well worth your money.

Ghost Rider is extra advantageous. The Punisher is cool, yet he's in order that one dimensional- Mob kills his kin, he will become a hero (or anti-hero) and is going around killing villians. Ghost Rider is a much extra complicated, how he made a take care of Mephisto to maintain his dad, yet he died besides, then he had to be the Sprit of Vengeance. I prefer they might remake the two video clips as a results of fact the Ghost Rider action picture became into rather lame and the Punisher became into purely terrible. Ghost Rider would win in a combat as a results of fact he can administration hellfire which burns the preson's soul in accordance to what proportion sins they have commited and the Punisher has murdered a lot of persons.

how about the Frank Miller issues of Daredevil!???
also -the issues in Amazing Spider-man were very good!
and for something that is just weird "The Punisher meets The Archies!"--great one-shot from a couple of years ago!!

its pretty good get "Essentials: Punisher" its black and white, but still pretty good (you can get it from amazon)
also Punisher War Zone isn't too bad.
