If they gave up a little land and some prisoners would they have better odds?

What else is in question?

(I'm familiar with history, I don't need that, I want current problems with Israel, not dealing with history)

For anyone else who looks here, this is, in the end, why Hezbollah, is nothing but an illegal military terrorist organization. They cannot forgive or work with Israelis and live the rest of the world no choice but to support Israel.

Hopefully, other countries accept our help too, and many do, they just don't want to be friends...

They defeated Egypt and have pretty good peace with them (sure Anwar Sadat got killed over it but he had the right idea). Jordans relationship isnt too bad with them.

There are gov't that realize there are more to gain through peace with Israel than continued fighting.

They are fighting terrorists who wont just stop. Many Muslim radicals have vowed to bring death and destruction to all of Israel. The leader of Iran even has said Israel should be obliterated. Israel is not fighting against organized governments who can be negotiated with they are fighting radicals who value the cause of destroying Israel more than their own lives. How do you combat such an enemy? That is the big question. One thing is for sure there will not be true peace in Israel or the middle east for that matter until all terror networks have been destroyed.
