A dodge caravan won't start. took off filter and turned the motor over and no gas came out. I assume it is the pump that might be out.

check the relay and than the pump

1 of 2 things.
Either the pump has died, or the relay under the hood is toast that actually powers the pump.
It's not a fuse, it's a relay.
I had to replace the relay on my 2001 Grand Carvan. Fortunatley, it was not the pump at that time.

yes it is the pump if you are not getting gas you can also check the fuel pump relay under the hood before you pull the pump but this is not likely the problem i am sure you will find it is the pump

maybe you are out of gas, that is why none came out.... if you don't hear an electronic whir or click or something running when you just turn the key to the on position it is the pump... you should hear it come on before you crank the engine over.

Sorry, I'm not a mechanic. I have 131,000 miles on my caravan and have never had any major trouble with it.

well check for proper electrical down there but yeah your heading in the right direction
