All diet sodas are bad for pregnant women, the artifical sweeteners are not good for the fetus. I would suggest drinking water or natural juices instead of soda.

I´d like to support what Amelia said. All diet sodas contain aspartame which is a dangerous substance that should never have been allowed on the market. It can provoke cornea problems, cancer and instead of keeping you on a diet, it actually makes you more hungry. Some constituants are derived from methanol and formaldehyde. Check the insects, they will not go near a diet soda. If it can hurt you, just imagine what it can do to your unborn baby.

Please do not drink diet soda while pregnant. Artificial sweetners are a terrible substance to put into your body. You shouldn't drink them even when you're not pregnant.

You really shouldn't drink soda at all. It is just empty calories and will make you more dehydrated. As a pregnant woman you will dehydrate easily and not even know it. You should try to stick with water. But if you must have soda then avoid diet.

My doctor told me I'm allowed two servings of diet drinks a day, and two servings of caffeinated drinks. If my diet drinks are caffeinated, then I get less, so I stick with the caffeine-free, which frees me up for a couple of iced teas or hot tea later on. But for the most part I try to stay away from caffeine. I'm a Diet Coke FREAK, so caffeine free Coke is a godsend.

As someone with GD and also 32 weeks pregnant. I am only allowed diet soda, have to limit or eliminate all sorts of juices, as they are loaded with sugar. You are allowed to have caffeine even, just not in a super abundance, it's something like what would be equal to 2 cups of coffee. When I was in the hospital they gave me coffee and tea both caffeinated.

You have to make sure you get soda with nutra-sweet (apartame) or Splenda and NO Sweet&Low (saccharin)

No but I would avoid soda altogether and drink juice and milk. As these drinks are more nutritious for the baby. Also eat lots of fiber such as apples, celery, bran muffins, and bran cereal. These help to not develop hemorrhoids later in pregnancy.

Artificial sweetners, like in diet soda, have been proven to have harmful effects. Skip caffeine and anything including artificial sweeteners. This can include flavored water.

the effects of diet sweetners on the unborn are not known. A little is probably fine, but don't drink a 2 liter a day.

It isn't so much that it's bad for you, but it doesn't hydrate you, so you still need to drink 8 glasses of water, milk, and juice on top of it.

Frankly, I go to the bathroom enough, I don't drink more than I have to.

soda is bad for you when you're not pregnant. you can have it, just keep it minimal. you can also have caffeine, again-keep it minimal. it doesn't make your kid have adhd or anything. i drank caffeine while i was pregnant, i stayed away from soda because the sugar and other junk in it is worse than caffeine!
