Garlic is very good for the circulatory system (as well as the digestive system), but I would question the dosage you listed. Cholesterol is the body's response to weak walls in veins and arteries. I'm sure you've heard about sailors getting scurvy, and the main symptom was that their gums would bleed. Actually, the rest of the story is that they died from internal bleeding. A lack of Vitamin C causes the arterial walls to weaken. The body's natural response to that, over time, is to patch the weak areas with plaque (cholesterol). I would strongly suggest you consult a naturopath to find the appropriate mix of herbal and vitamins supplements to bring your body back into balance. My father dropped his cholesterol 60 points in three months just by beginning a vitamin regimin, so I know it's possible. Vitamins A and E are also beneficial to the circulatory system, but you can overdo both of those, as well. Try to find a naturopath in your area. Trinity College (www.trinityschool.org) has trained people all over the United States, and they have a practitioner listing on their web site. I drive a little over an hour to see my "witch doctor", and she's worth every penny I pay in gas!
