As a stormchaser, I used to watch it years ago when they actually showed the weather. I gave up on them several years ago, though.

I haven't even had cable for two years, but I don't even turn it on when I'm in a motel room in, say, Nebraska stormchasing, and need to determine where the storms will be the next day. They show commercials about 50 minutes of every hour, 6 minutes of gardening tips, 2 minutes of video of people splashing in a fountain in Atlanta, and 2 minutes of weather.

I can get 100 times more information about the weather in 15 minutes online than I can on TWC in 3 hours.

But then, I can predict the weather better than they can, anyway.

I watch the weather channel more than the local news.

I find that they hardly ever show weather - I can't remember the last time I actually saw a local forecast. When I do catch the weather, it is usually uselessly vague or wrong. It's a worthless channel as far as I'm concerned.

Yes I do, I started just watching for the local on the 8's and as I waited for those to be posted I got caught up in the other stories. I have friends who think this is weird but some of these friends also will not miss South Park, who's to say what is quallity tv? I say "It could happen tomarrow", and if it does you'll be the first to see it.
