What's attractive about it? Quite frankly I like to watch. I'm a voyeur. It's erotic to watch.

What are the pyscological side effects? For normal healthy people who use it in healthy none. I watch it when my husband isn't in the mood (again...his libido is way lower than mine and i just hit my sexual peak...a girl could use a little help now and again) but only when I'm alone. I don't do it to the exclusion of my family or my regular sex life. Yes, it can be a problem if someone is addicted to it and would rather masturbate to porn than have sex with their partner, or if your kids are finding it, but for the most part, there's no harm in it.

I first looked into porn because of the same question you are asking. What is so attractive about it that it would take my husband away from me. Before I knew it I was addicted to it. There really is nothing attractive about it, it is degrading, but it also brings up ideas that you wouldn't normally have. Sensations that you never thought possible. I am not saying that this is a good thing. Porn destroyed my marriage, or at least was part of the reason. For my current husband, he tells me that it was something to do when he was growing up. Allot of men view it as harmless, they don't often relize what it is doing to them. Some see the women and then look at their wives that they have had for the past 25 years and wonder why she doesn't look like that girl in the pages or movies. Well she has had to put up with him for the past 25 years, that takes a toll on a body. All I can say is it will give the person addicted an unreasonable out look on what love and sex should be and also what their body should look like and move like

The attractiveness of pornography is that a man is visually stimulated. So watching pornography usually turns him on sexually. The side effects can be 1) Unrealistic expectations of real life sexual encounters. 2) Some say that porn is a denigration of women. Makes them seem like sex objects rather then actual people with feelings...Just an opinion

I was addicted to pornography for years, it has been a tough thing to kick. Even now, more than three years after giving it up, i still get flashes of the pics and videos i used to view, it has made me desire things which would break up my marriage. I almost lost my wife at one point because I tried to do something I had seen several times in pornography, and she felt degraded. She almost left me over it. I am so glad that she didn't, and that she helped me work it out, but like I said, Three years later the images haunt me. I wish I had never viewed it at all. It is degrading to women, gives men an unrealistic view on what sex should be, and makes a beautiful and wonderful experience a dirty and shamefull thing. If at all possible AVOID IT!!

Much of being "turned on" is what happens in the mind - the fantasy. Pornography stimulates those fantasies.

The side effect is, you get horny.

Well, it is neat to see people having sex. It is kind of forbidden. But, it can really foul up a relationship. It is unrealistic and can take the love out of sex. I suppose if you just want to screw, then pornography is fine -- it is the sexual equivalent to junk food.

My wife told me her X husband use to jack off in chocolate jello pudding cup, and an old shoe. How's that for side effects? I still can't believe he's allowed to live with his kids to be honest.

Sex is a wonderful thing when used as God planned it for us. Like all good things, there are ways to corrupt it and ruin it. The enemy of all that is good, Satan, wants to steal all that is good, kill us if he can, and destroy God's special gifts. One can be addicted to porn just like alcohol, drugs or gambling. Please do not play around with something like this that can harm you so much. Ask God to show you his will for your life and to bring people into your life that will help you enjoy life the way He planned it.

Everyone knows men are more stimulated visually. I know that when I watch them, I mentally replace the guy with myself. No harm done. Guys who are really into it have a big sexual appetite and it should not be a problem unless he feels his significant other does not fulfill his needs.
